Uniforms

Since Cadets wear Official US Navy Uniforms the Cadets must follow Navy Uniform Regulations. This includes grooming and personal appearance standards. These links will provide you with helpful information to properly wear and care for Cadet uniforms. If something is unclear please check with your Leading Petty Officer (LPO).

Please click here for help with rank and flash placement, how to tie a neckerchief, and Sea Cadet Ribbons.

Personal appearance and grooming standards are covered here.

These standards are from the NSCC/NLCC Uniform manual. The entire manual can be found here.

New Cadet Resources

When a Cadet first begins his or her career in our unit there is a lot of information to absorb, for both the cadet and his or her parents. This is especially challenging when neither the cadet or family has experience with the military. There is a whole new language, way to dress, and even a way to read a clock. Unfortunately this can lead to enough frustration that a new cadet finds other opportunities.

The training office has put together the following files for the new cadet to help through the first few drills and to begin their cadet career with a good foundation.

  • Sea Cadet Career Manual

  • This following file is the handout for new recruits based on the initial training requirements for the new cadets. There is a lot of information and the cadet will receive training on this while at drill it is recommended that the cadet print this out and study frequently.
